Let me hear you call my name.
Well, we meet again. I'm Alexa, but you already know that. However, you might call me Lexi, which is cool. Like me, cool that is. I make my own friendship bracelets like it's my job. But it's not. I work at a seasonal restaurant. I have an iPhone and we all know that makes me superior or something. Oh yeah, I'm like 21 or something like that. I love photography and have a Nikon D60... which I don't use. What more could you want from me? Just read. More than words.
You know you love me, too.

Welcome to Paradise

So my friend Lauren said that she was going to come home from florida soon and she was going to "surprise" me. Well it wasn't much of a surprise when she called me this afternoon, asking what I was doing. She asked if I was going to be home, and I said yes so she said she'd be out to see me in a max of 45 minutes. Which meant she must have been FLYING down the parkway to get here so soon, but I was okay with that. I am so happy I got to see her. I missed her so much. She is one of my better friends, even if we don't talk too much. And she is like my little lover girl. So I was so excited when I got to see her. She just left, so now Im just waiting for Mikey to finally decide what we're doing. I can't wait though, today is so much better than yesterday BY FAR. So yesterday, the seniors found out that the juniors were officially getting sweatshirts that say "2010 at heart, 2009 in mind." How fucked up is that? They act like they should be considered the class of 2009. Bull fucking shit. Get the fuck over yourselves, there's only 5 juniors that can graduate LEGALLY. I'm not even pissed because the juniors are getting sweatshirts, it's not that big of a deal for me, you know? But they're all claiming that they don't want to be associated with the seniors, yet they want everything the seniors have. It's such fucking bullshit. Why do you have to put 2009 on your sweatshirt? So then on top of all of it, Je'lanie and Melanie went to Sr. Kerry and asked about certain such as when the seniors are getting THEIR meeting, if the juniors would get the stairs, what about prom and what about walking at graduation. Sr. Kerry said that we would be getting our meeting "in the near future" and that they juniors are getting the stairs in march, after spirit week. The only things the seniors are going to have a say in is walking and prom. The stairs are final. Which, you know what, I'm not pissed about the stairs. I'm just pissed that every single teacher and faculty member is AGAINST the senior class, and that they are not communicating with us. They are treating us like crap and the juniors as golden children. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally sympathetic to the juniors, they're getting fucked, but quite honestly, so are the seniors now. The administration and the faculty are SHITTING on the seniors, and some of the juniors are eating it up. So what are we supposed to do? And so yesterday when I was at Mike's I started crying because I realized that everyone is against me, and against the class. We don't have anyone on our side. NO ONE. Everyone else is disrespecting the very traditions that they put up at the school. The seniors have been put on a very high pedestal, and it's not our fault that we just happen to be graduating this year, that we're the seniors this year. If anything, the juniors are LUCKY that we're the seniors. If this was us last year, the class of 2008 would have laughed in our faces. I don't know what to do any more though. I feel so betrayed by the administration and my friends in the junior class. This has caused so much animosity towards the juniors for me as a whole, and I don't know what to do anymore. I'm tired of being abused. I'm tired of being told I'm "selfish." I'm tired of getting things taken away from me and not given something different in return. It's such a shitty position that we as seniors have been put in. Because on a basic level we don't hate the juniors, but now... What are we supposed to feel? They're taking everything away from us, and some of them just to spite us. It makes one feel completely defeated when you don't have anyone supporting you. Hell, my mom doesn't even support me, and she has put in MORE money than any junior. It's time the senior class stepped up though and put our foot down somewhere, though.xoxo |
